Punk rock day is a popular part of this falls Spirit Week. OPPOSITE PAGE: Patty Clark Monty Hudson Deanna Townsend and Scott Rognmoe along geous costumes and imitate punk rock groups. BELOW: Students arent the only ones to dress up. Mrs. Kay Tom- sich and Mrs. Mimi Gay show that teachers have spirit too. RIGHT: Eat- ing contests are a normal part of most pep assemblies but this one is original. Three football players are chosen but only Jack Croft remains to eat after the others have their blindfolds removed. The crowd cheers Jack on and only later does he discover his solo perfor- mance. M ll'x'l l I qw 1 Y I 4 l ' 'F v I 'QV - The school spirit of DCHS took a big leap W 4 3 f F this year and the camaraderie and un1ty that 4 we all felt was unprecedented It seemed that that helped us all get more enthusiastic Organized by various student groups Splrlt Week served to entertain students and to give them an opportunity to show their school spirit in a constructive Way The week lnclud ed days in which students could dress up in purple and white and a Punk day when a stu dent could dress up like a punk fwith hair greased back, ripped clothing or with safety pins in their nosel. t Along with all the other traditional student organizations another group was created this year to take on the task of keeping school spirit high.
