Christian and Foreign Language Clubs Promote Fellowship One of the largest clubs which meets each week during activity period is the Fellowship of Christian Students. FCS was led by Marcus Robison and Iudy Chastain. This group participates in open discussions, debates, and has guest speakers. Besides being the largest club, it was also one of the favorites. Margaret Iohnson, Iohnny Hudson, and Kristin Manthey were the officers of the French Club supervised by Miss Cochran. This year the club sponsored French dinners, participated in skits and songs, and went to the convention dur- ing the spring. They had lots of fun and a successful year. The officers of the Spanish Club are President - Lori Hughes, Vice Presi- dent - Sharon Smith, Secretary- Treasurer - Ianie Burnham, and Spon- sor - Mrs. Hall. The four hard workers organized the club activities. They had several parties where they ate Spanish food, presented skits, played bingo and worked on crossword puzzles in Spanish. Teen Involvement, an organization for Iuniors and Seniors interested in talking to fifth and sixth grade students on such subjects as drugs, alcohol, and sex, was very active this year. Every six weeks one boy and girl went to an elementary school to lead discussions on student problems. The Octagon Club is a youth organization offered by the Optimist Club International.
