Girl's Basketball Team Improves This Season The girl's basketball team has greatly improved since their first year. Their hard work during long practices helped them stand under much pressure. Several of their games were won in the last seconds. The team has improved both their strength and speed and has become quite a team to watch. Iunior Varsit Has inning Season The Iunior Varsity Basketball teams led by Coaches Michael Patterson and Kenny Straton seem to have done quite well this year. This is Coach Patterson as well as Coach Straton's first year coaching our Iunior Varsity teams. The I.V. cheerleaders, led by Head - Rusha Smith and Co-head - Debbie Shultz, have kept our team well supported throughout the year. As the season comes to a close, we're once again very proud of our I.V. Track Team and Softball Team Have Great Seasons The 1981 track team dashed to a highly successful year. They performed exceptionally against competition from the large area schools. In the process, they qualified several team members for the state track meet. Though the girl's softball team has on- ly been competing for several years, they play extremely well. This year with the help of their coach, Miss Hester, they played many close games. Besides competing in their regular scheduled games, they performed in several tour- naments. With their never-failing spirit, the softball team upheld Donoho's good sportsmanship reputation.
