cknowledgements E As navigator of the '82 Gauntlet Crew, I knew not what course we would take. We began to chart our destination and was obvious that we would hit rough waters and would have to do much tacking. However, as the Whitecaps begin to cal and the wakes became smoother, I was able to keep the rudder steady and things in shipshape order. A few special than for keeping things afloat must go to - Stephen Propst for providing the entertainment at our meetings and for his slow b sure workg Frances Walker for her artworkg Taylor Hunter for designing the coverg Michelle Kemp for working many ho? doing odd jobs and providing party plans, Rhett Woodruff, Ellen Cunningham, Heather lenkins, and Stephanie Foster being at the many meetings to do whatever needed doing: Valerie Palmedo, Sonny Wilson, Evan McGinnis, and DeeD- Cash for taking picturesg Nikki Messer, Lark Champion, Sonya Walley, and Russ Dorsey for all of their help. A very spec' thanks must go to Kristin Manthey, Nikki Messer, and Frances Walker for use of their personal photographs, Wesley Bo for his beautiful photography seen on page one and for his knack for writing copy: Mrs. Barnes for keeping our financ problems to a minimumg and last of all, Mrs. Anita Boggs for her never failing tic marks and all her original ideas. Aye, Aye our destination is in sight! It is my hope the '82 log book will be fondly tucked among your possessions and fr quently referred to as a year of smooth sailing. Thanks, LANE IACKSON 118
