Under the skilled guidance of her teachers, she increases a one-time meager vocabulary to sizeable proportions. Dull compositions become polished over the years and her style is eventually called sparkling.U Many a day the student spends in the second-floor treasure house, the school library. Poetry, essays, novels, short stories are open to interpretation by the disciplined mind. As she gradually matures, Miss Dominican no longer struggles with hc, she and it, for she has mastered gram- mar with a facility necessary to the modern businesswoman. Through the years, the dormant talents have been awakened and today, she is ready to cope with English in a skillful manner. No longer does her speech reveal the trial and error of classroom oratory. Now, the confidence of the refined lady bespeaks the victory she has won. Combined with the high' idcals which are thc heritage of Dominican, the graduate faces the world fully equipped for action.
