Student Council R. Weinschreider, Z. Cramer, N. Miller, I. Near, B. Nichols, G. Newman, B. Miller, C. Weinschreider, I. DeNinno, D. Lamberson, D. Daley, A. Bahr, G. Randall, Mrs. Franz Advisor, A. Zipp. URING its six years of activity, the Student Council has enlarged its sphere of influ- ence throughout the entire school and community. Relying on its general aim of sponsor- ing activities for the benefit of the school, this group has acted as a clearing house for class projects, planned and organized school assemblies, aided in fire drills and visiting days, obtained busses for out of town games, and sponsored student administration days. This group has also found time to propose and further the Youth Center, an undertaking which has undoubtedly proved to be the Council's greatest accomplishment. The year 1944 marked the beginning of the Student Council Scholarship fund which, to date, has grown considerably. The Organization hopes to raise the present amount to the point where a sub- stantial scholarship may be provided to a deserving member of the graduating class each year. The Student Council, as we know it, has become an organization around which our en- tire school life revolves. 42
