IPPHR3 FM? CDIDDWIIIEMH Every event of the 1979 Homecoming, Spartan Odyssey, was fun and exciting. The fun began on Wednesday when Aph- rodite's Court introduced the homecoming nominees. That night at the Grecian Hoe Down, everyone donned toga and cowboy hat and promenaded with a partner. On Thursday morning the Spartans enjoyed a Breakfast with the Gods. On Friday, the excitement began to build for the big game. The Spartans showed their spirit by wearing blue and green and attended a great pep assembly. That night, our guys beat Wasson 14-7, while Karen Ricketts was crowned the Homecoming Queen, and the winners of the car decorating contest showed off. The week was capped by the beautiful dance, Sail On. This week was definitely one of the high points of the year! 40 Homecoming

Hire Gem Odyssey, under the direction of Trent Ellis, has proven to be an outstanding group. Some of their activities this year included a variety of concerts, and competitions. Odyssey and other choirs at Doherty were chosen to be Ambassa- dors of Good Will, for the State of Colorado, at the Fiesta 80 , an international contest in Mexico. This year's members were: Brinah Acton, Steve Beck, Cheryl Caster, Donna Bammesberger, Charles Leight, Robert Faulk, Marie Glover, Marleine Harris, Sharon Kelso, Mike Kinney, Melissa Morgan, Patty Murray, james Martin, Susan Pershall, Rusty Sojourner, Randy Sten- son,-jenny Thompson, Art Van Nostrand, Brad Wagnon, Mike Wagnon, Chris Waltman, Jeanne Werschky, Kathy Peacock, Mike Ben- eke, Doug Wells, and Chris Robbins.
