MENDELN REICHART- science teacher from Emporia Teachers' College, replaced Mr. Herbert Dixon, coach and biology teacher, who was called to the Navy. l ROCK AND ROLL-March 19, Here Erys Emal, Bill Lopp and Delores Gabbert try their luck at standing up on a skating rink rather than on a dance tloor. The journalism class sponsored this party to raise much needed money. RECEIPT WRITERS-the people who see to it that the Sou'wester reaches the public and that the annual is paid for. Patricia Perry, Mr. Bryce Gleckler, senior sponsor, Bill Keck, busi- ness manager, and Earl Thomas, take care of all the sales, expenses and circulation of the year- book. DARKROOM DAWGS-Laird Bowman, Donald Young and Mr. Bryce Gleckler are the busibodies responsible for the greater majority of the photos placed in this book. For hours these gentlemen have labored to get good pictures for the yearbook sometimes only to be disappointed. Your editor opened the shutter for this picture.
