MAN AND WIFE-Ian. l3-The Hi-Y Club has a prosperous evening at the carnival selling marriage licenses at two cents and wedding rings ior a penny. Norval Lembright and Mildred Johnson are just coming out immerged in the bonds of rnatrimony. Arthur Nevins seems to be assistant marryin' man or chief license tiller outer and ring seller. HOWDY PA'DNER-Dec. 5- Lads and lassies turned out dressed in overalls and ginghams to attend the Drill Team's Barn Frolic, a shindig to bring out the songs and contests of our country cousins. Donna Marie Shahan at the right was dubbed the best dressed girl as she stands by Clifford Gish. Bud Wimer and Earl Thomas show what country gentlemen can look like when they put their mind to it. Promenade, is the order given by Miss Foster as she calls one of the quadrilles played that evening. REINING IN GLORY-lan. l3-Their majesties, Helen Swaiford and Bernard Sherman, ruled over the High School Carnival through the floor show. The queen's attendants are Maxyne Schrae- der, Susie Stitt, La Verne Durr, Phyllis Turner and Betty Rae Casterline, who were candidates for queen. . E ',r..,,ad Rx N w MUSCLES AND MAN POWER-lan. 13-Boxing and wrestling were the main bills at the carnival for the Boys' Pep Club. Leo Burke was the official announcer as they get ready for a four man battle between Lorin Cameron, Arden Cyphers, Howard Mallonee, ' and Iimmy Van Dine. l 5 l -

THE EARLY WORM sophs were rewarded for their strenuous effort by producing three swell one act plays. Dean Young, Mary Lou Shipley, Donna Marie Shahan, Gailand Bartlett, Pat Frey and lack Dillard carried off high honors for being Early Worms. The ever watchful birds fstudent directorsl were Waneta Louraine and Arlene Williamson. They really caught the worms when wormies weren't behaving. THE SPIDER -Looking for something? Marceil Homan, Marcia Mallonee, Anna Mae Evans, Helen Pat Murphy, Margaret Furnish, Viola Klinow and LaVanche Landis are but definitely looking for a spider! Kitty Lou Santry and Clemen- tine Fritchman helped them look at re- hearsals. They were the directors. HCOUSIN ANN -Yep, she hails from Deep in the Heart of New Mexico, and they call her Annanette Newell. Her sup- porting cast included George Boles, Pat Fleming, Bob Taylor, Betty Rae C sterline, Vivian Lighter, Camilla Klein and Howard Peay. Marge Bond and Miry Beth Burns were the directors. WALKOUT! ! Following the Demon's 25-13 Armistice Day triumph over the Garden City Buffaloes, jubilant DCHS students marched out en masse in celebration. Although teachers unanimously denied being in the know, a distressing lack of surprise or concern on their part was noted. READY-AIM-FIRE! Deadeye Gibson, the serious-minded typing teacher, was one of the frivolous faculty members who gave pupils an over-dose of their own medicine on Student Teacher Day, October 30.

Mildred lohnson, Walter Layton, and lack Lasley look on as Barbara Hall ap- plies the rag and Norma Lutz does her bit. LIFE GAZING-The Lite Board, project of the Camera Club, is their method of showing their pictures to the student body. Here lack Ryner- son, Marion Baugh, Victor Durr and Mildred Iohnson study the photo dis- played in the case by Mr. Bryce Gleckler and his troupe of photo fiends. I-'OUR ACHES AND A IERK-lack Dillard, Bruce Deck, Louise Taylor, Dr. Gerald Gribble and Miss Avanelle Clark sit patiently waiting tor ye old quiz master to call upon their wits. Dr. Gribble appeared through the courtesy of the local dentists who were giving dental exams that Friday.
