FOOTBALL QUEEN-Howard Mallonee, honorary Demon Football captain, crowns Louise Taylor, versatile senior, Football Queen at the annual Armistice Day garne with Garden City. Candidates, chosen by the football team for final election by the student body, included Susie Stitt, Norma Lutz, Mary Beth Burns and Louise Taylor. Onlookers are lack Lasley, Don Burt and Norma Lutz. SPEEDBOY-Track Coach Wavel Gibson expects big things this spring from Ioe Beebe, who brings an impressive record from Lincoln, Nebraska, where he starred as a dash man. Ioe gave ample evidence of his speed last tall during football season, and should gain a lot for DCHS in track meets. HOLD IT!-lohnie Umbach, senior net- man poses a back- hand shot for the photographer. Coach Varvel and his squad look forward to a banner season. THROWER-When it comes to throwing the javelin there are very few in Southwest Kansas high schools who can compare with Victor Durr, pictured above. Vic, a senior has garnered many a point for Dodge High in past track and field meets and continued to do so this spring. M22 r -': g Wii:f'1f.gyi? f17?f F?1Mf ' wr .iff?:m if We :rag-, f , 2 ,'f'g:r.
