The team was very successful winning third place in the Wheat Belt League and capturing ten points for Dodge in the League. The question was: Resolved that installment buying as now practiced i11 the United States is both socially and economically desirable. The squad held regular meetings to piepare for the first debate on Januar5 28. The affirmative team composed of Arminta Wilcox and Zelma Zimmer debated Greensburg at Dodge and won by a 2-1 decision. The negative team composed of Frank Shor and Emery Crow met Garden City at Garden City and lost 3-0. The following week the affirmative team met Kinsley at kinsley and vs on again while the negative team lost. Only two members of the squad Zelma Limmer and Frank Shor gradu- ate. Therefore the prospects for 1931 are very good. Those who received a letter and credit for debate xx ere Lelma Zimmer Frank Shor Arminta Wilcox Marie Salmon and Emery Crow. This play was of added interest because of the fact that the members of the cast came from all the three classes. The proceeds of this play were used to finance the Dodge City invitation fine arts contest. IH IIIV QS: 'E ll ID IL IIQIESIEIIQWIE Mill NSWIDIEIL The joint entertainment of the Girl Reserves and Hi-Y this year took the form of a minstrel show, which was given early in the fall. An en- joyable program of fun, comedy, and music was presented by various mem- bers of the two organizations, aided by several of the teachers. The pro- ceeds from this entertainment are to be used to send delegates to the club camps this summer. Mjoukaeflef X AQ, b -Q 30 so gf ' Piii - N T ' - spgf glff y , T i ' 45-C..
