Of all the luck. Here we are freshmen in high school, and we have to stay at Junior High. Imagine! boy, are we tired! Serving six courses to ar. army of Roman senators is no fun. Of course, we shall raid the kitchen afterwards, Winter. Our football team wins the state championship. While studying for those awful exams, we listen to the Hit Parade. Button and Bows is on top again. Snakes, that is what she held. She held snakes for the man on the Southern Assembly program! Spring. We were thrilled when we saw The Best Years Of Our Lives. Mother says that high school years are the best, and we all agree. We play ping-pong at the new teen Center. They even have a dancing instructor. SOPHOMORE YEAR: Fall. At last we are in Dobyns-Bennett, The building certainly is beautiful, but it is rather hard to find our way around. We are as lost as the seniors. Oh yes, our officers are Paul Rathbun, Ann Elliott, Esther Benedict, and Don Boyd. We played Chattanooga and won 20-2. The band trip was great. Winter. We sang Meet Me In St. Louis, Louis, as we came home from the senior play. You're Breaking My Heart is first on the Hit Parade. It seems that everyone is singing that and Lucky Old Sun. Well, I passed, but it is a wonder. Who ever said second year latin is easy, anyway? Spring. Vacation will soon be here. I iust can't wait to swim and play tennis. JUNIOR YEAR: Fall. Ne sooner did ' .'.' e lg:-come luniors than we became salesmen, also. Salesnxen of popcorn, apples, peanuts, and hot dogs are WSL.. The Y-Teens had a barn dance, it was so much fun. Winter. ross Witt directs the United States Army Band in Stars and Stripes Forever. The director comments on his record number of years here. class officers, Rodney, Robinette, Ann Elliott, Carol Esser, and Jane Kirkpatrick purchase a popcorn machine. The basketball team goes into the state finals in Nashville. Our Spring. 'fOur rings come. They are perfectly beautiful. Family Circle was presented by the iunior class. Oh, the prom at Ridgefields. lt was the climax of a wonder- ful year. SENIOR YEAR: Fall, At last we are dignified seniors?? I certainly don't feel too dignified. Winter. f'The senior play is Cheaper By The Dozen, but only nine children appear in the play. Our officers, Don Boyd, Jimmy Kilgore, Patty Dixon, and Phyllis Terry order our announcements and calling cards. Will June never come? Spring. Our school evaluation was conducted by the Southern As- sociationf' Oh, that English and American I-listorylf' Just a few days until graduation. Vve have been to the prom, splash party, and all the other traditional affairs. Now we are ready to leave our alma mater. We have spent four happy years at Dobyns-Bennett,
