Capt. Robert A. McCurr Former Commanding Officer Capt. Robert A. McCurry enlisted in the Navyin 1960 and reported to USS Sea Poacher CSS-4065 inKey West, Fla. Following nuclear power training, he was assigned to USS Skip- jack CSSN-5853 where he was selected for the Naval Scientific Education Program and then commissioned mAug 1968. Capt McCurryse1vedonUSSS1monBohvar CSSBN-6415 and transferred to USS Simon Lake CAS-335 serving as Radiological Controls Officer unt1l1975 In April 1976, he reported to USS N autrlus CSSN-5715 as Navigator I-le then served as Executive Officer on USS Graylmg CSSN- 646D and assumed command of USS John Adams CSSBN-620D1n May 1984.
