most popular senior girl and boy JDANNE and BILLY- step into the spotlight by being voted most popular Senior girl and boy by the Student Body. Joanne Munson, who has been very popular during her four years at D.U.H.S., served as Student Body Treasurer this year. She has been vry active in the Music Department, being accompanist for the girls' chorus all four years, singing a solo for the l953 Band Show, and playing a piano solo in the i954 Band Show. This year, for the Spring Concert, she played another piano solo, accompanied by the band. She was a Raisin Day queen attendant in l953, and in her Junior year she was a queen attendant to the Military Ball and F.F.A. Barn Dance. Billy Oliver has been active in sports, participating in both football and basketball, and is a member of the Boys' Block D. He participated in the class assembly in his Junior year. This year he has been Boys' Commissioner of Awards.

1965 reunnon of the class of '55 You are cordnally nnvnted to the ten year reunnon of the Class of l955 of Dnnuba Hngh School R S V P I recenved that nnvntatnon three days ago and nmmednately began preparatnons to at tend Naturally my thoughts turned to my former classmates and I wondered what had happened to them Fnnally the day came when I was to board the chartered plane for thns specnal occa snon and head for Calnfornna I knew nt would be several days before we would be nn Calnfornna but I also knew nt would be a lot of fun because we were to pnck up a lot of my frnends on the way As I made myself comfortable on the plane I was surprnsed and happy to see Bnllne June Eaton who was the stewardess for our trnp As we talked she told me there were several of our old schoolmates on the plane Lynn Huls was the pnlot and Roger Hope was co pnlot Bnllne sand I could go up to the control troom and say hello On the way bock to my seat I notnced a man I should know and sure enough nt was Tom Domnno He told me he ns now on ex wrestler havrng had hns last match the nnght before One thnng I must not forget he was undefeated We sat and talked un tnl we found we were lust about ready to land nn Mnamn for a short Iayover When I stepped off the plane I decnded to take a short walk and stretch before the plane left agann As I walked down the street a neon lnght caught my eye It read Last Nnght Snngnng Sensatnon of Mnamn Pete Engstrom Why of course Pete my old schoolmate I just had to hear hnm be fore I left agann so I went nn It was qunte crowded so I had to take a table wnth some one else and who should that someone be but Lenore Franco of all people' She sand she was vacatnonnng nn Mnomn and was want nng for the plane when she saw the neon sngn as I had We talked for a whnle of our schoolmates and I asked her nf she knew of any others here nn Mnamn She sand Sonya Flynn and Esther Garcrna man aged thns nnght club and was I surprnsed' They were closnng the club after Pete s per formance tonnght to be able to go back for the reunnon Lenore also sand Glenda Franks was the prnncupal of the hngh school here nn Mnamn and that Norma Baracca and Joann Cowen were teachers nn the same school I asked nf they would be able to attend the reunnon and she sand they were closnng the school for a week nn order to be present Fnnally the tame came for us to board the plane so we left the club Our next overnnght stop was New Orleans As the plane landed I wondered whom I would see now I decnded to fnnd a hotel rnght away and freshen up before gonng out to eat I fnnally found a taxn and who should the drnver be but Don Demaree He told me Larry Brewton and he owned the Blue Cab Servnce I asked hnm where the best hotel nn town was and he sand Hotel New Or leans of course because Luther Hunnncutt was the manager He let me off nn front of the beautnful bunldnng and I told hnm I would see hnm at the reunnon I went nn and regnstered and the bell boy came and took my bags and who should the bell boy be no one but Eddne Fnerrol He took me to my room where I cleaned up a bnt As I left my room to have dnnner l ran nnto Robert Sloan He sand he was nust Ieavnng to go and eat and asked me nf I would care to nonn hnm As we walked down the street he told me he had Inved nn New Orleans for about snx years and was a very wealthy banker He sand he knew of a very nnce Spannsh restaurant lust a block away and asked me nf I would Inke to eat there As we walked nn he told me that Eva Tapna was the manager and cook of thns Spannsh restaurant Here we found Barbara Haw knns and her all gnrl orchestra playnng As we sat down the orchestra was playnng and I notnced that Ruth Tuey was playnng a vno Inn nn the orchestra The musnc was won derful and the food was marvelous Sachnko Umeda was our very nnce wantress and we notnced Geronnmo Segura was helpnng Eva nn the kntchen Everythnng was lust perfect On the way back to the hotel Robert told me that Phyllns Smalley was a professor of entomology at the Unnversnty of New Or ,, . . . . . 1, . . . .
