Spearheaded by the fine shooting of Captain Mickey White, the 'Cots ran up a total of 1,049 points, while holding the opposition to 770. White contribut- ed 508 for a game average ot 25 points. Three other players crossed the century mark in scoring, each netting a total of 119 tallies. They were Gayle Myers, Sammy Clardy, and Charles Saleeby. White, hampered by an ankle injury, was unable to employ his deadly jump shot in the district elimina- tions. Clardy's long graceful sets and Myers' driv- ing layups pulled the team through on several oc- casions. ' James Ross had a good set shot from the side, while Charles Saleeby added strength in controlling backboards. Toward the close of the season, Tom- my Boroughs played a rugged pivot for the Wildcats.
