Teach ers hear excuses, . CXQUSQ5' . For students who don 't ha ve their homework, the dog ate it just won't work anymore. Teachers are tired of hearing this boring overused excuse. If a student is going to ha ve to use an ex- cuse, he may as well make it good. Here are a few of the more creative ex- cuses that teachers may not have be- lieved, but did at least find amusing. DeAnn Stuart didn 't have her sci- ence notes because while she was cleaning the pool she laid them on the slide and they ended up in the water. Mrs. Stapleton got a blank piece of paper one day. The student said he left it on the dash of his car and the sun fad- ed it! Mrs. Norwood heard, I left it at the hospital. MORE than once! Mrs. Bevell said, The best one I ever heard was a girl didn 't have her homework because her baby sister flushed it. Michala Shaw claimed to just ha ve completely forgotten about her gener- al science test. lleft it at home or it's in my other notebook were commonly used ex- cuses in Mrs. Cox's class. Excuses weren 't confined to high school. A boy in Mrs. lohnson 's fifth grade class thought up a whopper. He said he went to Switzerland over the weekend and left his books on the plane! Ms. Gilbert lets Lisa Holley have it. Relaxing before a long day. 3' leanette Bailey Marlene Bevill Carma Bradshaw Karla Byrne 96 Faculty X - ff - 15 ,ss, ' ,..... ..',,,V i ...-,, 12,- i, .
