Mary Pinkerton Chris Rider Betsy Stokes Denia Tolleson Dana Ward Marty Young Seniors Celebrate! Can you believe next year it will be us up there? hThat's what last year's juniors said. Well, this year is here and it's our time to celebrate. You may wonder just what are some of the advantages of being a senior. The list goes on and on. For one thing when we 're late for class, the teach- ers don 't gripe because they're glad we showed up. Those special one day vacations become more frequent. When we finally decide what college we 're going to, we can clean out the garage just by throwing away all the mail we've collected from universities and the armed services. We can come to school tacky and half awake and no one says a word. Another spe- cial privilege is that treasured day we call skip day. On this day with permis- sion from our parents, we just don 't bother to show up. Some of us didn 't consider going to Henderson 's library to work on our research papers was cause to celebrate, but remember we did miss a full day of school. We enjoyed our senior year, and every one of us celebrated in his or her own way. We made the most of our last year at D. H. S. The 1987 Senior Class went to Little Rock last spring to have a group picture made at the state capitol in conjunction with the Arkansas Sesquicentennial celebration.
