Looking back over the past years, we realize that a close association with our advisers and counselors has made us familiar with the needs and accomplishments to achieve not only our goal at Dickinson but also future goals. Grateful we are to them for all they have done for us. They have been there when we needed their advice to carry ony they have understood when understanding counted most, they have waited untiringly when patience meant so much, they have given us a hopeful word when encouragement was important. We appreciate fully all their efforts in pre- paring us for tomorrow, and we shall try hard to be deserving of the faith and trust they have placed in us. 10 Q. MR. ROBERT J. TO THE CLASS OF JUNE 1955: There is no greater incentive to carry on toward the goal we set for ourselves than success. Each success adds to our supply of confidence, a source of supply to be tapped in facing the next goal. Successful completion of your high school career should therefore mean more to you than the mere acquisition of a diploma. It should make you realize that you have met a series of problems and obstacles and you have not let them conquer you. You have conquered. Your proven ability to conquer must make you confident of your continued ability to conquer obstacles yet to come. Only you honestly know if you have done your very best. If your graduation truly is the result of your honest efforts, you can be proud. With the confidence in yourself derived from your honest effort you can look to the future armed with the knowledge that you can succeed again. Good luck-God bless you. DR. FRANCIS J. McCARTHY Vice-Principal DR. FRANCIS J. MCCARTHY Vice-Principal
