New approaches to orientation for both new and returning stu- dents this year involved teach- ers, counselors, parents, administrators and, of course, the students themselves. Stu- dent activities were imple- mented and student government . A Qi tif 'l expanded - thanks largely to a Master Plan Mini-grant. There was also broader comlmunity involvement in the sfchool's program. In fact, Dewey was adopted by one community organization. In addition, vari- ous regional and site commit- tees were formed in a coopera- tive effort to widen and brighten the students' academilc hori- zons. l l
