S Showmon E Bow and T Swonson Work hard durinq an all-important rehearsal Seniors Present Qutstanding Comedy Actors pace impatiently backstage, the unsettled manner of the audience falls to an expectant hush-it is the opening night of George Washington Slept Here, a play presented to our community by the '57 seniors under the direction of Miss Rhodes and student directors Dennis Nustad and Danielle Bellefeuille. Back- stage crews worlced throughout the performance add- ing their special talents to make what might have been a good play, spectacular. As the curtain rises we find Mr, and Mrs. Newton Fuller purchasing an abandoned farmhouse in Penn- sylvania. Hoping to convert it into a summer residence, as-, x -D 1 i i.. if to N N 2 the Fullers set about digging a well and planting a garden. That is, until they are confronted with a mort- gage and informed that if it isn't paid they will lose their home. Mr. Prescott, a neighbor, appears as a villain who has been wanting to grab the house from the confused and bewildered Fullers. Then a map is found, it is proven that the Fullers own more land than they claimed. George Washington Slept Here is a production which leaves fond memories not only in the hearts of the seniors, but in the minds of underclassmen who en- joyed the play. x l ' s
