The Girls Athletic Association seeks to develop a sportsmanlike attitude in each member and to give her the opportunity ot learning to co-operate as a team member. Membership in GAA is offered to all senior high girls who are able to withstand the dreaded initiation which all established members thoroughly enioy. Langager, combined forces pro- duced a seasonal atmosphere with festive decorations. Seasonal sports include volleyball, basketball, and bowling. The girls are stimulated to hard playing by the annual awards and the general competition that stems from hard play and teamwork. Our Cheering Power Pep Club has worked successfully during this past year under the direction of Monica Bergen, president, and Mrs. Berman, adviser, at promoting school spirit. An annual event sponsored by this club is the Sadie Hawkins Party at which students express their artistic ability in costumes and decorations. Branching out from Pep Club are our pep leaders or cheerleaders who help leod our team on to victory.
