Girls' Athletic Association, the largest organization in school, provides a chance tor the girls to develop physical fitness and good sports- manship. Each girl learns that cooperation with her team- mates is necessary for a winning team. In the tall, members form teams to participate in playing volleyball. The champion team is awarded the little brown lug at the initiation banquet. The annual White Christmas Party which is spon- sored by GAA proved to be a social gathering enjoyed by all who attended. As it was held in the early part of December, it served as a opening event ot the season in DLHS. With the arrival ot winter, basketball teams were chosen and the girls once more exhibited their athletic ability in bowling. In the spring the girls participated in baseball. Sports have been proven to physically and mentally help the individual and through GAA a girl is given the chance to take part in sports. Row l: B. Suter, M. Wiggins, S. McDonald, P.
