This phrase has tamiliarized itself with every member of the student body. lt can be heard at every pep lest, after every touchdown and during halves at a basketball game. Our cheerleaders, Kathie, Sheri, Twyla, and Donna have theresponsibility of arousing school spirit in each student! To carry this out, they plan pep tests, skits, pep talks, and lead the cheers at competitive sports events, D. L. tar: show ther' excitement as the Lakers go lor a touchdown. Every year Pep Club Otters senior high girls the chance to become cheerleaders. Pom this group eight tinalists are chosen by representatives tram Pep Clqb and a group ot teachers. Trying out in front of The student body and having the students elect the four cheerleaders are the hnal steps in the selection of the new cheerleaders. At games out of town our cheerleaders must repre- sent our school by displaying sportsmanship and school given school spirit to DLHS.
