For the second straight year, the Detroit Lakes baseball club was forced to limit the number ot their games to tive because ot poor weather. The Lakers completed the season with a I-4 record. Rain and cold held up the Detroit Lakes practice sessions early in the year and prevented the playing of their tirst game until tournament time when they were dropped in the initial District 23 tilt by the Pelican Rapids Vikings. The Redclads had considerable bad luck all season and continued to be subdued by their opponents. Their only win came against Park Rapids as they exploded for the victory and then simmered down by losing to Moorhead in the season finale. For the T955 season the DL Redclads will have eight monogram winners back again. Among them will be: Pitchers Bill Piechowski and John Fitzgerald, catcher Jerry Fox, second baseman Phil Meyer, third base- man Rodney Lia, and outtielders Dave Albright, Dean Weimer and Russ Landt.
