Nelson 1 The Girls Athletic Association provides an oppor- tunity for girls who wish to participate in active seasonal sports. Early in the G. A. A. year, chair- men ot the three major sports are named. Volley- ball teams are chosen and tournament play begins. Later basketball and bowling become major activ- ities. Trophies are awarded to the winning teams in all three sports. December was a big month for G. A. A. mem- initiation and the annual White Christmas Party. On December 4 initiates donned outlandish cos' tumes and performed ditticult tasks tor members. A banquet was held and Mary Jane Courneya was named the Best Cooperating Initiate. The White Christmas Party was sponsored by G. A. A. members tor the senior high, faculty, and school board members.
