Strives for Perfection Passing by room 59 at 8:10 or third hour Tuesdays and Thursdays, the D. L. student may hear the Detroit Lakes A Capella choir rehearsing. This year, under the leadership of a new director, Mr. Langrebe, the choir suc- ceeded in mastering new methods and techniques. As choir students began to realize that singing at public performances isn't the main purpose of choir, their appre- ciation ot worthwhile music grew. The annual Christmas concert given December l2 proved the merit of the group. Enthralled by the yuletide music and setting, the audience was filled with the Christmas spirit. Destination Winnipeg was the thought ot every member as the end ot April rolled around. The choir spent the weekend in the scenic city where they gave numerous con- certs and enioyed the hospitality of the Canadian people. Sponsoring student buses to out-of-town games, promoting pep tests and attendance at home games, and choosing the cheerleaders are some of the responsibilities of Pep Club. This year the cheerleaders displayed the newest tad in fashions by sporting bermuda skirts and knee-length stockings at all basketball games.
