l930 C LE MIROIR C C141 MEL W f O05 Cfdrack 'writesup ,ZQ Deshler High School put out its first track team in '29 when Coach L. C. Perry took upon himself the obligation of training the promising candidates. Several meets were given on the homegrounds, Gilbert Field, and the team also went to the state track meet in Birmingham, where a very accredible showing was made. The boys that went out for the first track team had a new and pleasing experience. They worked hard all year and under the personal guidance of Coach Perry, developed into a neat ag- gregation. Mr. Perry a track enthusiast went to Castle Heights to take up further woik after the 29 season but he was a man loved bv one and all and will long be remembered in Tuscumbia Bottom 7011 Top mu Laurie Battle Bill Cloud Harvey Creech Robert Coleman Geoige Williams Coach Perry Carey Corbell Arthur Howard Fred Brower Ceorge Cloud van W' 7 ! 1 Y w 7 ! 3 ' ,, K Y, . 1 . . , . . .
