Biology p1 oved a stumbling block upon the broad highway for many and xx hen the year xx as passed the maimed and crippled could be counted bx the dozens. Nex er was there a more unrelenting hu- man than our science professor. But all things both good and bad must come to an end and at last May took her turn in the cycle of months and when she was half gone we xxho had fortunately mastered the subjects that belong with the first high school year! danced with glee but xx ith some there xx as sorrow and pain as terrible scenes of the past nine months planted on the inxx ard ex e. Time is ceaseless and unending so there was nothing to stop Septem- ber from bobbing up again right in the midst of a wonderful summer. I shall never forget the first week before the door of Deshler opened for regular study xx hen some of the boxs of our grand old class labored under the beaming sun to the tune of fall on the ball hit that line and other expressions of athletic rage.
