They engage in Tueling operaTions by assisTing in handling The lines which pass The hoses over. When replenishing aT sea They again handle lines and .supply men Tor The working parTy. When enTering porT and Tying up alongside They are responsible Tor securing The number Tour line, and lasT, buT noT leasT, They keep number one moTor whale boaT in good condiTion and ready Tor service aT all Times. The responsiloiliTy oT The l:ourTh Division is The porT side: main deck and super- sTrucTure Trom The oTTicer's panTry To The popular geedunk sTand. There is brighT work To be polished, bulkheads To be chipped and painTed and oT course, on Tield day, holysToning The deck. The gunner's maTes and sTrikers have The iob oT keeping The mounTs and handling rooms clean and Treshly painTed. The FourTh also Takes care of The numloer Two moTor whaleboaT and The CapTain's Gig. The moTor whaleboaT has To be ready aT all Times as a pickeT boaT, Tor beach guard duTy, Tor guard mail Trips or Tire and rescue work aT sea or in porT.
