bf' Derry Township High School had one of its finest backfield performances during the 1950 football sea- son. Son Warner took the team's scoring honors with a total of 60 points with Lee Tate and Bob Bohn capturing second place with 42 points each. These boys were helped in their scoring by the exceptional downfield blocking of Bill Schmidt and Red Wliite. The team won several close games through the accurate extra point kicking of Bob Stroup with Scur Zieders holding the pigskin. Derry's well balanced defensive unit played a major role in the success of the 1950 team. Wlieri called upon, this rugged line-up gave their all in holding the opponents offensive.
