In February qualified students participated in the district solo and- ensemble festival. This spring the orchestra toured the area elementary schools to perform a concert for the students. THE SOUND OF MUSIC The Band, conducted by Mr. Kramer also meets daily in room 108. They also performed three concerts. This year the band performed in the district band and orchestra festival and obtained a very good rating. Many students also participated in the solo and ensemble festival. page 45

All year the girls practice to improve their singing. Then they perform in the Christmas and Spring concerts. This year these eighth graders truly sang out. Together the sounds of both male and female voices practiced to produce the wonderful sounds you heard this year coming from room 108. They also performed in the Christmas and Spring concerts. page 47
