The group has participated in several school concerts and the annual Christmas program. They had the honor of singing at the Russian Conference. at the French Alliance, and at Saint .lohn's Cathedral. The eighty members of the choir. directed by Miss Dorothy Wassum. have proved themselves to be one of the finest vocal groups in the city.

The girls also contributed to the Needle-work Ciuild activities. The club gave twenty-five dollars to the Red Cross and twenty-five dollars to the War Chest. This group of active senior girls show their spirit in the drill teams at the football games. The Pep Club also marched in the Armistice and Memorial Day parades. The Pep Club sponsors the Sophomore Tea and edits the Southern Cus- toms guide book, presented to the sophomores, The girls also sponsor the Pep Club Dance and are the hostesses for the Parent-Teacher Association meetings. Although quality of musicianship was stressed in this year's edition of the band, its 'appearances set some sort of record with sixty appearances during the fall and winter season, Bond rallies, concerts. marching and playing at football games. scrap drives. P.-T.A, meetings, and numerous other opportunities of advertising South High as a coopera- tive institution, gave the ninety Rebel players invaluable experience both in music and in community service. QPCA 25 fra South's symphony was- selected to perform before the Colorado Education Association Music Division in its No- vember session. The annual fall and spring concerts demon- strated the musicianship and versatility of the organization. With its philharmonic instrumentation, the orchestra had ample oppotunity for serious study of the classics, but mixed its program with enjoyable light numbers. A great per- centage of the Rebel players were elected to play in Denver's famous All-City Orchestra.
