Aff CM The Art Club contributed toward the war effort this year by making Christmas cards for the soldiers to send to their friends. This club, under the supervision of Miss Laura Fisher, has as its members students talented in the field of art. Jah The tower room is the meeting place of South's chapter of the Hi-Y. There, members of the Hi-Y are held to the standards of clean living, clean speech and clean sports. Guest speak- ers are invited to meetings to speak on various topics. The Art Club meets every Mon- day afternoon and people representing different art centers of the city are guest speakers. The annual Art Club Tea was held early this year. Spealera Service gureau i One of the most popular service clubs of South High is the Speakers Service Bureau. This club, sponsored by Mr. Gerald Willsea, gains speech experience by speaking to the school on drives, ticket sales, etc. The club also goes to other schools and organizations in the city to speak. To become a member of the Speakers Service Bureau one has to have had previous speech instruction, better than average grades, and the recommendation of Mr. Willsea. This service club is open for both boys and girls.
