2nd Division 2nd Division is tasked with the operation, maintenance, and traffic control of the upper vehicle, lower vehicle, and well deck. These areas constitute the heart of the USS Denver ' s mission. With these areas of accountability. Deck Department ' s 2nd Division ' s probably the most multi-faceted Department onboard the DENVER. It ' s no wonder why 2nd Division is always Turning Two. No mater whether they are launching SEALs in CMlC ' s, beach equipment in the LCAC ' s and LCD ' s, or a wave of Marines in AAV ' s; 2nd Division takes on 1 -Alpha Operations with a blend of both pride and professionalism. The pride does not stop there however. 2nd Division is also responsible for the rescuing of overboard personnel via the motor whaleboat. 2nd Division ' s crack motor whaleboat and davit crew over West-Pac were responsible for the first and only known successful UAV rescue operations in naval history. A very noteworthy feat. Although far less exciting, but just as important, 2nd Division maintained and constantly preserved its numerous spaces against the ever present demon to all Naval Ships. ..RUST. Along with all these duties including underway replenishment, watchstanding, and never ending training. 2nd Division pressed on to a very successful record of operations during West-Pac.
