,ffm CONCERT BAND The concert band as composed of students wnth varued anstrumental expenence lt was begun wsth ten players ln the fall of l952 Slnce then ut has grown tremendously More un struments are belng added gradually The band has performed at basketball games assemblaes chapel exercuses and on the stage as a concert band nn December February and May lt ns Mr J Van Dyke s arnbutnon to buvld the concert band unto a full fledged symphonlc organlza tuon Many of the local band supporters are helpung to realuze that goal CADET BAND The Cadet Band was newly organnzed In October l952 It ts composed of those who have never before acquaunted themselves wuth band tnstruments many of them had never heard of the nnstruments whnch they naw play They made thenr furst publuc appearance on December 5th nn the Fall Concert and agam February 20th In a demanstratxon concert The band us the tralnmg band for our growung Concert Band The band members meet three temes weekly for class method unstructnon of mdvvudual nnstruments Theur biggest achuevement thus year was playung wnth the Concert Band nn the Sprung Concert Thus band IS also under the tune leadershup of Mr J Van Dyke S
