Nlemhers of the fourth estate here at Denfeld have their headquarters in room 307. This room is the traditional ahode of our school paper, the Criterion. Activity in 307 is at its peak every' two weeks when copy night rolls around. Puhlished hi- monthly. the Cri striyes to report the news, events and happenings which occur ill and around school. Rhoda Falk. and adviser lVliss Margaret Catz- weiler, and the whole staff have presented an i11- teresting paper for the students of Denfeld. The post of managing editor is held down hy' lfdward Nh-l'arlan. lfd's joh consists of co-ordinating the entire paper and proofreading the copy. which is a pretty hig undertaking that lid has met admir- ahly. As ill past years. the staff has again lived up to its motto: to keep Denfeld on the mapfi The Cri- terion has served all the organizations in school and publicized those outside of school that interest the students. The paper has acted as a co-ordinator for the community and the school. Through the write-ups and advertising in the Cri7' the com- munity has lreen informed of the various activi- ties which take place in llenfeld. Programs such as the Roy s' tinion Vodvil and the Girls' Cluh Up- eretta have heen presented to the puhlic hy this median. The husiness staff headed hy Don Johnson has done much to defray the cost of the Criterion hy' selling advertisements to the many' Duluth busi- ness places. 1Vlrs.
