He directs our administration in a manner that makes Denfeld a smoothly operating individual among other schools. However, his service in an advisory and counseling capacity has been the maior factor in bringing him close to members of the student body. lt is in this second pursuit, as principal, that we have come to realize his rich spirit and outstanding abilities to serve. Dr. Wood has helped to create the fine spirit and the aura of get up and go which has put Denfeld out in front during i946-47. Denfeldites are proud of him and his unfaltering guidance. We sincerely hope his career at Denfeld will last for many years. 8 i

I I The friendly man who pre- sides at our school assem- blies is Mr. Glenn Card. This is iust another of his many important duties around Den- feld. Probably his chief iobs are acting as assistant prin- cipal and boys' counselor. His keen sense of humor and the cheerful way he goes about his work will always endear him to the students. ?' Lorraine Udiur and Miss Ethelyn Gruetzmacher Mr. Glenn Card and Jack Schiltz A true friend to every girl at Denfeld is Miss Gruetz- macher, the girls' counselor. Her pleasant smile and con- genial hello add brightness to our school. Besides helping us plan our dances and parties, she is one of our most popular chaperones. One of her most important duties is aiding us in vocational guidance.
