IQEWUIQD . . A small democracy within a large democratic nation could be a good definition for Denfeld l-ligh School and its community. To develop our capacity to the highest and to secure liberty and freedom are two points of the American Dream which have been acquired by pupils of this school for years. The students are given the opportunity to join organizations in which they are interested and are able to do well ln this way they can show their fellow students teachers and community what they are capable of doing and make a better name for themselves Safety in the classrooms halls and out of doors is stressed by clubs of the school lust as the various departments of the city and nation do their part in keeping the population of the country free from hazards and accidents. Stage skits, pertaining to courtesy, are presented to the student body at various times. This is just another means of improving the qualities of the pupils and making them better American citizens Being victorious in our struggle for indepen- dence has given us Americans this liberty and free dom which we are so grateful for and proud of When we pledge allegiance to our flag of red and white stripes and white stars on a blue blackground we can be filled with gratitude and ioy to be able to l e in this great and free country of ours America ,ff ff' , , - - iv ' ' . 0 .ii 'll 5 LF' ' .-f A ,i b g l 4-fl S
