Sept. lb-Everybody was swinging out at the Girls' Club annual get-together dance. We all had a pertectly pertect time. Sept. 23-From what they say those who went to Maywood were certainly shown 5 wonderful time. Staying at home wasn't so bad after all, especially when we heard the returns by means ot telegraph ot that winning touchdown. Sept. 30-Did you see those girls swinging that bat and shooting those arrows? A peppy time was had by the girls ot Central, Denteld, and Morgan Park at the annual playday. Oct I3-I thought the Girls' Club recognition service was very impressive, didn't you? How proud these Sophomore girls felt as they were initiated into this organization! Oct. I4-Maroon and Gold Day-Atter a two-hour pep chapel with the DENFELD pep, we really couldn't help winning tonight. I was surprised at the good tight that Central put up. Anyway, we won by a score ot I2-7 and we won both ways. Oct. 22-Whew! Winning from those hardened Hilltoppers was REALLY a climax to the '38 football season. The score was I2-7. Oct. 26-May I have this dance? Yes, it you promise not to swing it too Iustilyg l just had a tinger wave. Such were the ditticulties encountered at the tirst dance sponsored by the Pyramid. NOVEMBER- Nov. 7-At Open House tonight parents were given a chance to bump heads with teachers concerning their children's scholastic standing. II-A patriotic play entitled They Just Won't Talk, and music by the A'Cappella choir made an impressive Armistice Day assembly today. At the conclusion ot the program Taps was played and the entire student body ob- served one minute ot silence in commemoration ot our dead soldiers.
