PHUPHEUU As we arrlve ln Dena1r Just 15 years after the class of 1951 graduated we f1nd that many changes have taken place 1n our fa1r c1ty and 1n the people we thought we knew so well Wh1le we are stroll1ng down ma1n street who should we meetbut Mrs Bethy Wooten She tells us that they are the owners of the Wooten Beauty Salon We not1ce a large 1ncrease 1n the pop ulat1on of our town Th1s IS malnly due to the 1ocat1on of the Sumney Enterpr1ses fac tor1es We learn that Dave IS the r1chest man 1n town and has done much toward the development of Dena1r No one has heard from Gary Troedson for qu1te some t1me He was last seen head lng for the New Mex1co mounta1ns 1n search of gold AlV1H Walton who IS play1ng for the Los Angeles Rams IS 1n the hosp1tal recover1ng from 1nJur1es rece1ved dur1ng the Rams game w1th the Chlcago Bears HIS w1fe Mrs Alma Walton 15 at h1s beds1de We are surpr1sed to f1nd Howard Norton owner and manager of the Denaxr Flower Shop We learn that he has perfected a new Black Orchld As we look on the front page of the now famous world renowned newspaper he Dena1r T1mes what should we see but a p1cture of our wonderful mayor Robert Redmon andh1s eff1c1ent secretary Joyce Sweeten Z1 B1lly Joe Ellsworth now a conf1rmed bachelor 15 owner of the Dena1r Tlmes As we v1s1t Dena1r s beaut1ful new h1gh school campus we are surpr1sed at the many changes that have taken place The school now has an enrollment of one thou sand The pr1nc1pal of the school Hal I-la1rs ton rules w1th an lron hand HIS w1fe Mrs Helen Ha1rston 1Sl'.C3.Cl'1ll'1g nuclear phys1cs 1n the new sc1ence bu1ld1ng Wh1le we are takxng a tour of the new S600 000 gym we see the champ1on basket ball team worklng out under the coachlng ab1l1ty of the famous Jerry Entr1ken H15 w1fe Mrs Mae Jean Entrlken lS at home tak1ng care of all the l1ttle Entr1kens We understand there IS qulte a flock of them S1x to be exact L.eav1ng our hotel and start1ng home w see a fam1l1ar f1gure carry1ng our baggage lt IS none other than Nolen Lowe He 15 the bellhop at the hotel He tells us that h1s Wlfe Mrs V1rg1n1a Lowe 1S a chamber ma1d 1n the same hotel We also learn from Nolen that Donald L,1bby 15 the c1ty dog catcher It seems that Don was d1vorced by h1s f1rst Wlfe whom he had loved very much and never marr1ed agam He llves 1n a l1ttle shack on the outsk1rts of town We are sorry that we are notable to see Don but we must hurry or we w1ll m1ss our tram As we leave our fa1r c1ty now not so small we are surpr1sed and somewhat happy over the changes that have taken place . 1 ,Q ,er ' A n ' - 9? 1.
