11th Grade Shows Leadership The junior class was very involved in the school activities, clubs, and athletics. The first exciting event of the year for the junior class was when jason Below was crowned Barnwarmin' King. Next thejunior class showed their spirit by win- ning the spirit stick for the third year in a row at the Spirit Week pep rally, The class sat together and yelled and cheered with the cheerleaders until they were announced the winners. The class of 88 is also very active in clubs. They hold the presidential offices in the Varsity Club. Science Club, Pep Club, Library Club. and LA. The ju- nior Class also make up a big part of the basket- There are eightjuniors on the guy's team and six on the girl's team. The guys team also cheered on by eightjunior girls who form the entire DHS cheerleading squad. The 11th grade is also work- ing toward the goal of making enough money for a Senior trip. They began this past summer with a bake sale and a car wash, making a com- bined profit of 5200. Then after the school year began the class sold Stanley Products and made a 3600 profit with top salesperson being Darren Schlitt. Amy Freed, Secretary Noy Gentry, Treasurer Katie Evans, and Student Council Class Representatives Janelle Eftink and Patti Hickey. At class meetings next year's upcoming senior trip was the main topic of discussion. They talked about where they wanted to go and how much money would be needed for the trip. They made plans for money making projects like Stanley Sales, car washes and bake sales.
