Silver balloons and the black silhouette of a couple on a red back drop was the back- ground for the coronation. A high point of the evening was when retiring queen Lana Dalton passed her crown to senior Michelle Brown and Chuck Hoots, also a senior, be- came king. Elementary school students jody Below and Greg Ilartle took part in the coro- nation by carrying the crown for the queen and the gifts for the candidates. The theme song forthe queen's dance was Will you still love me, by Chicago. -,t 0, DVI lihonda Bohn uk l lm 1 gli Ogttasr or The music for the dance was provided by the Eddie Martin Sound System from 7:50 to 11:30 p.m, Every hour there were prizes given out: A bouquet of balloons, boxes of choco- lates, and Robynn Eftink won a teddy bear. The big prize of 510.00 was won by junior Darren Schlitt for the second year in a row. The FHA chapter mothers who served re- freshments and helped at the Sweetheart Par- ty were Bonnie Brown, jerralee Eftink, Sue Bond, Sue Gloth, and janet Dalton. FHA sponsors the Sweetheart Party each year.

They sold niaga- zines ro help keep down the cost of the year- book. Many hours, either during study hall or after school, were used working toward dead- lines. Since the staff was small, about four spreads were pushed off on the Editors at the last minute before the pages were to be sent in.
