The student council worked well together to make this year one of the best. Throughout the year the council tried to fill their offices well and to do a good job for those who elected them. ALBERT TODACHEENIE-VICE PRESIDENT PAM PORTER-SECRETARY DAVID HANSEN-PRESIDENT Studentbody President, David Hansen was able to unify the studentbody and the student council with his good- humored and understanding leadership. His ability to lead was shown in his music, athletics, his support of school affairs, drama, and even in his willingness to help teach the German classes when the regular teacher became ill. Albert Todacheenie won the office of Vice President with a clever campaign and his terrific sense of humor. Albert The Chief is a friend to all. Pam Porter proved to be an effective secretary and played an active roll in student government, school, and extra curricular activities. We thank our officers for the effort they put forth to make this a good school year for us all.

' The Gifted and Talented program added a new dimension to Delta High this year. Gifted and Talented is a group of students chosen by their teachers to participate in a nation wide program designed to develop the students potential and acquaint them with experiences not aquired in regular classroom activities. During the school year numerous activities were arranged for the studentsg these included a day at the Osmond studios, visting artists, musical programs, a Shakespearian mini course, a day at Davis High combined with a stop at Hansen Planetarium, and a Shakespearian Festival that combined all the talents of the students. The Gifted and Talented program was greatly appreciated by the students and it is hoped that the prograng will continue for years to come.
