Be' lom Roy Nelson acquired this fully paid tractor with money from his FFA projects. The school's Future Farmers of America chapter again enjoyed a banner year. At its annual parent-member banquet, Several stu- dents received awards. Top awards went to Mark Esplin, Rick Proctor, Steve Anderson, Chuck Dubs and Ron Scheetz. Esplin was the recipient ofthe DeKalb Award. This award is given to the outstanding senior in FFA for achievements in scholarship, leadership, and agri culture. Es- plin, who also was a star chapter a agribusiness- man, was the chapter president. Proctor eamed the Walter Potts Memorial Award, while Ander- son was Presented a special citizenship award. Besides Esplin, other star degree winners were Dubs and Scheetz. This is the highest honor bestowed by the chapter.
