Instead ofa band the Juniors hired a DJ from Denver. Mike Disber- ger gave a show called Specialty Sound and Light. Ms. Rutz announced the names of the couples during the grand march. The Seniors went rafting as tradi- tion goes, in Moab, May 12. They took 2 buses with about 60 seniors going. They left the school about 6:50 Mon- day morning. Dan Cholas, Jim Davis, Jay Belt, Tom Panter, and a few parents chaperoned the trip. Ignacio shared the trip with Delta down the river. Lunch was eaten about noon on the river side. Many hours and water fights later they finally docked at their destination. But the Seniors were still energetic and decided to throw a few people in the river. The hungry seniors ate a dinner of chicken fried steak at the Steak House in Grand Junction on their way home.
