Lorna says, We are the ones who must decide in what kind of a nation we wish to live, and to so de- cide we must do our part and prepare ourselves to be good citizens. Elton Spaulding travels eleven and one-half miles. To him distance can- not be compared to the benefit he re- ceives. Eva Crim. Mary Carpenter, and Phyl- lis Weaver have ten miles to ride to school. They feel that although the way is long the effort put forth is well worth their while, because as Eva said, We will be repaid for it in years to come. Harold Bruner. Ivan Smith and Le- roy Weaver journey nine miles. When asked if their education is really worth their time they all agree to an af- firmative answer. Large Audience Is Pleased With Pine Arts Program The first fine arts program of the year was presented Thursday. A large and appreciative audience attended to hear the varied program of the Delta high school band and orchestra, supple- mented with selections by the girls' sextet and an instrumental duet. This concert was the first given by the music organizations this year. perform- six num- the girls' sextet sang two numbers, The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise and Morn- ing, Leo Meyer and Zaline Weaver played a flute and clarinet duet, ac- companied by Miss Charlotte Loomis. The Delta high school band was the last number on the fine arts program.
