Cracking voices and shaky knees make initial arguments doubtful, but soon each person becomes an ambassador from his adopted country and nervousness disap- pears. Huang and Mrs. Simmons Stadent A. O'Connell Honor Society Lends cz H ehoing Hand After hours of careful delib- eration by both teachers and other students, a final secret group of new honor society members is chosen. The deci- sions have been made on the basis of character, service, leadership, and scholarship. These members are then tap- ped at a tense, exciting school assembly. Once initiated, the members devote themselves to school and community service projects. Some of these activi- ties are guiding parents on open house night, passing out programs at graduation, deco- rating the lobby Christmas tree, buying and wrapping presents for needy children in Delaware County, and helping out at the community Hallow- een party.
