,,--nw--V .wlnluylluluul . .,. .,- W- Y -. -. . ....vlln.,---Lv. '- CLASS PR OPHE C Y As I gaze into my nickel optimal glasses I see- many of the people who were in the Senior Class of 1947-48. First I see Larry Tower working in a large dairy near a small city. They tell me this city is Chicago. Larry says he is making good money washing cow's teeth with Old Dutch Cleanser . Next I see a great prize fighter on a very peculiar looking stage. He is substituting for .Toe Louis. This strong looking guy happens to be Howard Rice. As I gaze through the bifocus part of my glasses I see an old second- handed Wonder Bread truck. The chauffeur is said to be Darrell Foster. As I look into the back, I wonder if my eyes are failing me. There is Enid Cannon and their thirteen children. Enid says the bread truck is much easier to support than three-five passenger Coupes. Darrell is singing, Haven't Got A Worry . Oh! who is this? At last I recognize him. It is H. P. Thomen. He is living in a small shack, which resembles a pig-pen with a tin top over it. He says he is enjoying life, because he has just retired from selling peanuts in Denman. ' As I take another look I find Jack Tinsley and his adorable wife, Glendora Haynes, trying to make a somewhat larger city out of O'Kean, by putting up a big Tailor and Shoe Shop on Rabbit Avenue. Next I find Marvene Carter in the 'Movie Hit of the Year' Company, starring with C. R. Eveland. The name of their production is Revival of Delaplaine. Their producer is a very popular guy, Jackie French. I take another look to find Carl Boog Bennett, under an old tent. He is trying to make a living by shoeing horses night and day. He says the only disadvantage of his profession is that he can't make enough money to buy the nails that it takes for the job, as he only has to drive five or six before he can get one in straight. Next I find Car Peaches Haynes and Harold Runt Armstrong. They seem to be looking forward to their future lives. Poor little 'Runt' looks like he has been run through anelectric concrete mixer but 'Pea- ches looks very nice. He has so much white paint on his face, it makes him look as if he has a fresh shave. They are trying to build themsel- ves some kind of a little shack to live in when they start getting their old-age pension. They are not planning on working after they receive their first check. I take another look and find Hardy Wagner. He is in goat business in Peach Orchard. He is selling milk for a nickel a gallon. He seems to think he is making a big profit. Since such scenes make my head ache, I think I shall close up for the day.
