The campflres have been burning brlght as thls councll pow wows. Student Council Officers attended the Rocky Mountain Leadership lnstltute In Vall, July 6-10. Later, the Head Boy and other council members attended a workshlp In Colorado Springs. This stimulating tralnlng has enlivened the entire council, resulting ln some exclt' Ing new actlvltles. For example, the members put red apples In each teacher's mailbox for the first day of school and assigned secret pals for each teacher: they have spon- sored the homecoming activities, cake raffles, Tiger- manla booth for basketball, and a Christmas formal dance. Also, their concern for the school has Involved them In such projects as helping to re write the dress code, attending school board and accountability committee meetings, and working for the Involvement of all stu- dents. Thls student council and Sponsor Mr. Hoffman, deserve an A+ In outstanding leadership.
