Now we are several weekends and several pages later. All that we can show for our work is a dummy of plans and hopes. I am not sure that you will even like this book. But I hope you will accept this book as my attempt to help you remember this school year. This page now belongs to you. Along with this page goes the heartache, frustration, tears, and joy that come with giving these pages life and meaning. There will be times when the whole world is set against you, but remember the goal is worth the struggle, despite the obstacles. For all the excuses and complaints you will hear, these pages somehow make the excuses and complaints seem distant and unimportant. The Laurel has been mine since the beginning of this school year, and now it belongs to you, the students of Del Mar. I only hope you enjoy this book.
